    When you receive this VERY RARE red red yuan you'll want to hold it close indeed.
    It was issued by a rare local bank (Fukien Provincial Bank) in 1939.  The front, which shows a rural pontoon-type bridge, is engraved entirely in red while the reverse is brown with black Chinese overprints and blue serial numbers - a unique combination!
