    Description

Georgian Court Flower Gardens, Lakewood, N.J.
Founded in 1908 by the Sisters of Mercy, Georgian Court College (now known as Georgian Court University) is a private Catholic College. Historically a women's college it became coeducational in 2013. Designated a National Landmark in 1985 the College was the former summer estate of George Gould, son of railroad tycoon Jay Gould. The campus features beautiful gardens, fountains and a "real tennis" court. In 2004 the College was granted University status.
