Vintage Duck Spoon Rest Ceramic Goose Hand Painted Farmhouse Country Decor 8"
Condition:
This is a vintage, preowned ceramic, hand-painted duck.  I think it is either a spoon rest or just cute kitchen decor for a country farmhouse style.  It is stamped on the back with something that I cannot make out.  I think it could be a mold brand such as Holland Mold or Atlantic Mold but I can't quite make it out.  It is hand-painted with fabulous eyelashes, a bright yellow beak, wing and a little foot.  There is a  hole at the bottom and it appears it stands vertically although it seems like it could tip over easily because it is fairly flat.  The wing and the cheek of the duck or goose are three-dimensional.  The back just has the yellow beak.  It measures 8" tall, 6" wide and 0.75" thick.  It weighs 8 oz.  It is in good, vintage condition.  It has minor chips and crazing consistent with age.  There is one chip on the front near the foot. That is the worst of the damage.  The crazing is difficult to see in the photos but it is present.  It is not excessive but definitely speaks to the age of this sweet country duck.
