Vintage Aynsley Orchard Fruit Rich Gold Teacup & Saucer Signed D. Jones - EUC

Description

Beautiful vintage Aynsley teacup and saucer set of bone china, made in England.  The pattern is "Orchard Fruit" and numbered 746.  The cup is 2 1/4" high (3" to top of handle) with a top opening diameter of 3 5/8" and base diameter of 2".  The saucer is 5 1/2" diameter.  This vintage set features peaches, pears, blackberries, grapes, plums and gooseberries, with some hazel nuts, leaves and background autumn plumage.  Most of all it is richly trimmed in gold, including the entire cup interior, handle and footed base, and saucer center and trim.  Both cup and saucer are signed by the artist D. Jones, as shown in the last two pictures.  Wonderful teacup set for display at this time of year!
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. I did notice two manufacturing marks under the glaze.  You can see one in picture 2 on the leaf right above the pear, and the other in picture 7 just to the right of the top plum.  Both are under glaze and not overly noticeable without knowing they are there.  The gold is quite good with no fading and some very small scratching on saucer center from use.
