This listing features a rare Pink Floyd poster which was originally created to promote a show which took place at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco on October 26th, 1967. The concert was also headlined by Lee Michaels and Clear Light. This promotional poster is the 90th poster from the iconic Bill Graham series and is commonly referred to as BG-90.
The poster offered here has NEVER been displayed and is FLAWLESS! The BG-90 poster by legendary artist Bonnie MacLean was only printed three times since 1967. The 1st printing poster was printed
before
the concert and measures approximately 14" x 21" in size.
The 2nd printing is on smooth glossy stock and has the promotor notation in the lower right hand margin. RP-2 was printed by Bill Graham Archives in a small 500 copy run. What made this version unique is the fact that it came in a much larger format measuring approximately 25" x 37" in size.
The 3rd printing (BG-90-RP-3), which is the version offered here, measures 13" x 20" and was printed on uncoated matte stock. RP-3 is nearly identical to the pre-concert original in
both
size and overall appearance! And like RP-2, the the third printing was printed by Bill Graham's company (Wolfgang's) in a 500 copy run and has "W 2020" in the lower right hand margin. With only 500 in circulation, RP-3 is far more scarce than the 1967 original!
