    Description

    Statue with surrounding fenced landscape on obverse with New Orleans Feb. 22 1884 above and around.  Microscopic “Peiffer Bros. Phila”.  Reverse has a large wreath with “Souvenir/ Unveiling of Statue/ Gen. Robert E. Lee/Feb. 22. 1884/ Born Jan. 19. 1807/ Died Oct. 12. 1870”.  Struck in Pewter.  This is an interesting error with a planchet lamination on the obverse 9:00.
    Technically
    this is Uncirculated but it is net graded to Extra Fine due to the lamination error.
