    Description

This is a real cool medal that is one of a long and illustrious line of tributes to the America's first Dollar the Continental Currency Coin originally designed and struck as a pattern in 1776.  Mr. Hibler and Mr. Kappen included a satisfyingly large number of medallic tributes to this same coin, many of which are amongst the most sought after medals listed in the book.
Indeed the men also included a Boy Scout Jamboree medal as well, and it is a shame this particular So-Called Dollar made its way into the world two years after their book was published for, if this had preceded the book, it surely would have been included as one of their own.
These medals aren't particularly rare; however, this example does happen to be particularly handsome and well worth your favor.
