I am pleased to offer a stunning vintage bone china cup and saucer set made by Aynsley, England
Beautiful and elegant single large pink cabbage rose with green leaves all on a bright turquoise blue background
This set likely most dates from the 1940-50s
Fantastic quality
Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, other damage or restoration on either cup or saucer; both pass the bone china ping test
No wear to the floral transfer noted
The gold trim is intact
There are a few darkened bits and gold smudges underglaze
but the turquoise surface does not have the usual scuffs showing white which are typical of the dark colored backgrounds
The turquoise of the cup is ever ever so slightly lighter than the saucer but they have the same mark and this was how they were purchased
Cup measures 2 5/8" tall at sides and entire cup is 4 1/4" across including handle; saucer is 5 5/8" across
Marked with older Aynsley crown mark in dark green with cup having pattern number C954 hand painted in black along with decorator squiggles
Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash
This lovely set would make a beautiful addition to your collection or a perfect gift
