    Description

    From a New England estate. Gorgeous and scarce Art Deco Era 8 Day mantel clock made by Frederick Mauthe in Germany pre World War II. Case is carved wood with original alligatored black paint and has hand painted stylized floral sprays flanking the huge dial face with gold accents. 5" Depth. A rarity from a renowned German clockmaker, this clock has a fully working mechanism with three bar chimes which strike the 1/2 and hour.  Please see all photos and ask any questions prior to bidding.
