note from Taiwan under Chinese Administration. It was issued in 1961 and was printed by the
"Printing Factory of Taiwan Bank"
.
In 1961 Taiwan was still holding the seat of
"China"
at the United Nations. It lost it to the communists in 1971.

Sun Yat-sen at left. He was a physician, writer, philosopher and revolutionary. He became the first President and the founding father of the Republic of China. Born November 12, 1866, he became President in 1912, and died on March 12, 1925 from liver cancer.
