1960 HK-583 Pony Express Centennial So-Called Bronze Dollar SC MS 65 RD NGCThis 1960 HK-583 Pony Express Centennial Official Medal So-Called Bronze Dollar is graded and certified MS65 RD Red by NGC.
This medal commemorates the 100th anniversary of famed Pony Express operation between St. Joseph, MO, and Sacramento,CA from April 3, 1860, to Oct. 24, 1861.
Within the obverse circle displays three conjoined male heads with Founders under. Outside the circle is written Russel-Majors-Waddell and below United States Commemorative Medal.
The center of the reverse displays a Pony Express Rider at gallop. Outside of the circle is written National Pony Express Centennial Association with date below, 1860-1960.
Issues were limited to 5,000 silver and 500,000 bronze pieces. This So-Called dollar will make a great addition to any collection.
