    Description

1959 OREGON CENTENNIAL PENDLETON ROUNDUP MEDALLIONS
This is a two medallion set issued by Umatilla County Numismatic and Philatelic Society to commemorate the Oregon Centennial.
They feature info on the famous Pendleton Roundup Rodeo and the Oregon Centennial. They are antiqued silver plate housed in an inner folder with an outside envelope. Folder and medallion are mint, envelope shows some wear but no tears or stains.
50 years including 21 years operating a coin shop and appraising estates, collections and single items for banks, attorneys and individuals I have found only 3 of these set. Two are complete and one is missing the outside envelope. 7010 of these were issued, some of which were placed in two-item sets sold as singles. Single pieces are common, I do not know how many of the two piece sets were issued. They are very scarce and seldom offered.
They are larger than all the other centennial metallic issues and both sides are unique to this issue.
They are listed in the So-Called Dollars book as HK567.
