Description
This is a pleasant, moderately circulated,
"Ten Dollars"
note from the
"Central Bank of China"
at Shanghai. These were printed by the American Bank Note Company and issued in 1928 just after the death of Sun Yat-sen and well before China was invaded by Japan.
On July 7, 1937 the
"Second Sino-Japanese War"
began and Japan invaded China. China fought Japan from then until Japan was defeated at the end of World War II.

Sun Yat-sen. He was a physician, writer, philosopher and revolutionary. He became the first President and the founding father of the Republic of China. Born November 12, 1866, he became President in 1912, and died on March 12, 1925, from liver cancer.
The Note:
A note that was used as the medium of some exchanges. It has been folded and lightly soiled but is still crisp and bright. It has no edge or body tears and no pinholes.
The note will be sent in a new large currency holder that protects it.
