This Buy It Now auction is for an 1896 Bryan So Called Silver Dollar
This is the S-7 HK-781 Variety, uniface and manufactured by the Gorham Silversmiths Company.
Graded and encapsulated by NGC as MS63 Mint State 63.
This Bryan dollar was created back then to illustrate the difference in value of the silver content of a Silver Dollar as compared to the value of the gold content in a gold dollar.
It is toned on the darker side and did not photograph well. I lightened up the close-up pictures so that you can see the detail.
It is in a special NGC large size holder as this coin is larger in diameter than a normal US Silver Dollar.
Tough to find these in the MS grades, especially one in a relatively high grade of MS63.
