    Gilt bronze, R.4. Atlanta was devastated by shelling and fire in 1864, but was rebuilt after the Civil War. This is represented by phoenix and sun motifs on the obverse, which also depicts a bale of cotton and a pair of clasped hands. The reverse depicts Henry W. Grady, an influential Atlanta newspaper editor who passed in 1889
